The 3rd generation of the Honda Insight is coming for 2019. Here is your 1st look Inside & Out from the Detroit Auto Show. This is a Prototype but will most likely this will be production form. It's the size of the Civic and a bit smaller than the Honda Accord, powered by a 1.5L Engine with a 2 motor hybrid system. Honda Sensing will be available if not standard when released. Steve Oliveira and Fernando Cunha brought "Section 8" the CLM Motorsports x Tri State Motorsports AWD Turbo K Series honda civic driven by Steve out for some testing in preparation for Import vs Domestic: World Cup Finals where they will be competing in the Wild Street class against primarily Coyote Modified Mustangs and Run What You Brung 7 second bounty Evo's. After running a 7.93 @ 189mph first pass, Cunha made some adjustments to the tune and then ran the blistering record pass of 7.67 @ 193mph bettering the previous best of 7.88 set earlier this month on the cars first time dipping into the 7 second zone. The AWD setup consists of all Honda OEM parts, has drive shaft shop front axles and a ppg dog box. At Import vs Domestic - World Cup Finals, we’re used to seeing lots of civics. But an AWD civic? Now THAT is out of the ordinary. What’s better? It’s pushing 1300hp and makes 7 second passes with EASE! Props to Steve and the team at CLM Motorsports for creating such a beautiful and badass car. It was easily one of the most entertaining cars to watch at WCF!
